If you are like me you heart breaks for the people in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan. An estimated 10,000 people were killed in the city of Tacloban. Another 4 million people are left with no clean water, electricity, or food to eat. Here are ways you can help:

AmeriCares: Donations to AmeriCares allow the organization to provide medicines, medical supplies and other humanitarian aid to victims.

American Red Cross: Donate to help people affected by the storm.

Compassion International: Gospel-Centered organization helping children affected by the typhoon.

Doctors Without Borders: Donations will help support a medical team on the ground giving lifesaving medical aid to victims.

Global Medic: The Canadian organization is accepting donations to help provide clean water.

Habitat For Humanity: Donate to create shelter-repair kits that will be sent to victims of the storm who are working to rebuild their homes.

International Rescue Committee: Donations help their emergency response team provide water, hygiene and sanitation needs to the region.

The Philippine Red Cross: Their site suggests a number of different ways to donate money to support their relief efforts on the ground.

Salvation Army: Donations will help direct responders meet the specific needs of disaster survivors.

Save the Children: Monetary donations will help typhoon Haiyan victims as well as victims of future disasters.

ShelterBox: Giving money to this charitable organization helps provide survival kits that include a tent and other items.

World Food Programme: Your donation through the WFP’s online donation form will help provide emergency food assistance to families and children.

World Vision: Donating to World Vision will help provide vital relief such as clean water, food and shelter to those in need.

UNICEF: Donations through the UNICEF site will help give clean water and hygiene supplies to children affected by the typhoon.
